Organizer
The 9th Mediterranean Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships will be organized by the Croatian Fencing Federation with the support of the Plava Laguna Company and the Town of Poreč, under the auspices and authority of the Mediterranean Fencing Confederation.
Place and Date
The Championships will be held in the Intersport Centre of the PLAVA LAGUNA company in Poreč.
Visa Requirements
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia promised to support the 9th Mediterranean Fencing Championships. Whenever participants, guest and visitors need a visa to enter Croatia, our agencies abroad will issue visas swiftly and in a service-oriented manner in accordance with the General Provisions of the Aliens Act.

IMPORTANT ! WE RECOMMEND THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS WHO NEED A VISA ARRIVE TO AND DEPART FROM CROATIAN AIRPORTS TO AVOID APPLYING FOR A SCHENGEN VISA.
Events
The following Championship events will take place: Foil, Epee and Sabre individual and Team
- Cadet and Junior Foil individual
- Cadet and Junior Epee individual
- Cadet and Junior Sabre individual
- Team events: Teams shall be composed of both men and women. They shall be composed of three fencers who shall fence with different weapons.
Entries
- The Mediterranean Fencing Championships are open to all Mediterranean Federations and guest federations.
- Athletes must respect the age limits of 17 and 20 on the 31 December of the year of the Championships.
- The Croatian Federation as the organizing country shall send official invitations and the events program to all federations in the Mediterranean basin, without exception, at least three months before the date set for the Championships. The same information will be published on the Confederation website.
- The federations taking part must send in their entries at least one month before the date of the Championships.
- Registration for individual events shall be made on the F.I.E. website as indicated above
- Registration for team events shall be made at the delegation leaders meeting at the beginning of the Championships
- In the same meeting, all federations shall settle their dues with the treasurer
Prizes
- Fencers who finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd shall receive gold, silver and (two) bronze medals respectively. Medals shall bear the name of the event and the year of the Championships.
- Teams finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd shall receive a plaque for the team and a (gold, silver or bronze) medal for each team member. Medals shall indicate the name of the event and the year of the Championships.
